New order for vibratory lifter for cooling plastic particles

Mission Objective:

The customer was looking for a gentle handling, reliable and space-saving conveying solution for its plastics production process between the extruder and the big bag filling, while at the same time cooling the product. One of the special requirements was to achieve a high conveying and cooling capacity before the big bag filling.

Solution:

We supplied our customer with two mirror inverted stainless steel cooled screw conveyors with unbalanced top drive (type WFWO3600/1400-UVN76V). The material is fed and discharged centrally between the two screw conveyors. For the cooling function, each screw conveyor is designed with a double-layer thermally conductive base plate with separate water inlet and outlet. The screw conveyor is controlled by a braking device that ensures short downtimes.

Advantage:

The mirror arrangement of the two screw conveyors is designed to achieve the high conveying capacity required by the customer. A dedicated water supply system for each screw conveyor, capable of cooling the plastic from 170°C to 25°C, fulfills the cooling requirements.
